Home Quarters Project

A primary focus at Pamela’s Children is the construction of a new ‘’Home Quarters” for our team in Katungu.

The vision for our HQ extends far beyond a simple administrative space. We envision a vibrant and multifunctional facility that caters to the diverse needs of the local area and provides a space where we can connect with and support the needs of the community.

While functioning as an essential base of operations, the HQ will also have a kitchen so we can offer meals, a large meeting room for teaching health and nutrition classes for parents, and space where we can grow a garden and raise cattle which is the basis of our current income-generating programs.

With the guidance of a talented local architect, Morris Stephen Tumusiime, we have developed plans that will bring this vision to life. Having already secured a fantastic location through our relationship with the local parish – The Healing Streams of Life Ministries – we hope to break ground in 2023.

Our current fundraising target for this project is £30k.

Water Project

  • 90% of our registered families have no access to clean water (over 500 households). We are partnering with the local village leadership, and international charity Christian Engineers in Development, to develop a Water Project in Buyanja, Rukungiri.
  • The project aims to significantly reduce water-related disease in the area, enable children responsible for fetching water to attend school, foster economic development and put an end to the violence many women & girls are subject to when collecting water.
